 Am I crazy enough to try August Nanowrimo with almost no pre-planning? I might be.

Had wanted to start this morning but instead had to catch up on nest-checks, which somehow involved hiking 11 km, nonstop, over the course of five hours, and running out of water with an hour to go. I am a machine. A machine that walks.

 Baby tropicbirds are adorable beyond all reason. Extremely sweet faces. I wanted to hug and squish them but they weren't keen on that so instead I marked their nest sites on GPS so the Bahamas National Trust could track them. Baby parrots are adorable too but in a different way because they're still at the practically-embryonic-looking stage, but ( Read more... )
